SECUR-MAT was founded in 1998 by then owner Jacques Dubé, a man who with over twenty years experience in all aspects of dangerous goods, as they relate to transport. Jacques based his company upon the following principle “near enough or close enough is never good enough“. 

As Jacques was fond of saying “ the Transportation of Dangerous Goods is an exact process ”. To drive this home, at SECUR-MAT we believe in dealing only in absolutes. Shipments are black or white, no grey. If the colour grey appears we must start over again until absolute compliance is achieved. It is with this strict adhering to our core principles along with the absolute compliance with all national and international regulations governing the transportation of dangerous goods that ultimate safety is achieved. 

In November 2005 SECUR-MAT changed hands to Shawn Quinn and Elizabeth Villanueva after nearly three years of apprenticeship under the guidance of then owner Jacques Dubé. This lengthy process underlines Jacques dedication to this industry and all the clients he served over all these years. While Jacques remains as a consultant solely to SECUR-MAT it is with his commitment to excellence and a truly informed customer service approach that we Shawn and Elizabeth remain loyal to SECUR-MAT’s core principles, thus enabling our company to continuously succeed.
