What are Dangerous Goods? Dangerous Goods are articles or substances which are capable of posing a risk to health, safety, property or the environment. What regulations control the transportation of Dangerous Goods? Within Canada the regulatory control for the transport of dangerous goods is covered by the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act and Regulations (TDG) and is administered by Transport Canada. These regulations cover all transport of dangerous goods by all modes. The TDG allows for the use of other regulations such as IATA/ICAO, IMDG, and for the United States Department of Transportation the 49CFR. Who is directly involved in the transportation of dangerous goods? All persons who handle, offer for transport or transport dangerous goods are involved and must fully comply with the regulations specific to their roles and responsibilities. | |
We at SECUR-MAT refer to all persons regardless of roles or responsibilities in the specialized supply chain as a community. As a member of this community we are pleased to offer an array of services and solutions tailored to meet your company’s dangerous goods needs whatever they may be. |
